Instructions

Soak the peas in cold water for 5 hours. After this time, drain the water.

Cover the peas with fresh water and place on the stove.

After boiling, reduce the heat and cook for 40 minutes. Then add salt and cook for another 5 minutes.

Blend the peas into a purée. Mix with cream and bring to a boil again.

Cut the crusts off the bread and dice it into cubes.

Melt butter and fry the bread until golden brown.

The creamy pea soup is ready. Serve it with croutons and chopped herbs.
