This hearty and delicious cheesy soup, made with processed cheese, is simple and quick to prepare. Adding smoked sausages or frankfurters enhances its flavor and aroma, making it even more satisfying.
Instructions
Prepare all necessary ingredients for the cheesy soup with sausages.
Peel and chop the vegetables. In a cauldron or deep pot, sauté minced garlic in vegetable oil for a few seconds. Immediately add the chopped onion and carrots, and cook until translucent. Add the sliced smoked sausages (or frankfurters) and cook for another 2 minutes. Then add the diced potatoes and sauté, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
Pour water (or broth) into the pot and cook the soup with sausages and vegetables for approximately 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
Grate the processed cheese on a coarse grater. Add the grated cheese to the soup and stir thoroughly until completely dissolved. Remove the soup from the heat and add fresh chopped herbs. Serve the cheesy soup with sausages hot, optionally with croutons.
